Wuxi, located at the side of Taihu Lake, is a time-honored city in the southern area of Yangtze River in China. It is one of the original places for fish aquaculture activities in the world. 2010 Forum on Fishery Science and Technology will be held in Wuxi, China from Oct. 10 to 12, 2010.
Forum on Fishery Science and Technology was founded in 2003 by Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (CAFS). It is annually held, and served as a platform for an exchange of international and high-level R/D achievements in fishery science and technology. The theme for the 2010 Forum is focused on the fishery environmental evaluation and ecological rehabilitation, concentrating on:
— application of bio-indicators in the environmental monitoring
— environmental evaluation, origin identification and quality control technologies
for fisheries products
— ecological impact of large hydraulic engineering projects on fishery
— manipulation and rehabilitation on aquatic environment
— potential impact of climate change on fisheries and aquaculture.
Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences sincerely invites all the scientists, experts and researchers in the field to participate and share the experience in Wuxi.
