The Post-doctoral Research Station of Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute (YSFRI), Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, approved by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China, recruits post-doctoral researchers independently. Outstanding doctoral graduates in China and abroad are welcome to carry out high-level research at Post-doctoral Research Station of YSFRI.

 

Requirements

Researcher with doctor degree obtained in China or abroad, healthy, less than 40 years old, may apply for the YSFRI post-doctoral position. In accordance with “Post-doctoral Management Regulations Amendment in 2006”, successful applicants shall engage in full-time post-doctoral research work at YSFRI.

 

Application Procedure

Applicants are required to provide the following documents:

1. Fill out the “Application form for post-doctoral research fellow”[U1]  (attached).

2. Ph.D. dissertation, copy of Ph.D. Graduation Certificate, copy of Ph.D. Degree Certificate or supporting documents from relevant authorities indicating that you have passed the dissertation defense and shall be granted Ph.D. degree.

3. Two recommendation letters from professors in your research area.

4. “Post-doctoral auditing form signed by the University or Institute where you do your Ph.D. work. Full-time staff needs to provide approval document from your Human Resources Department showing that you may be engaged in full-time post-doctoral research work at YSFRI.

5. Applicant with Ph. D. obtained abroad needs to provide Education Department Recommendation Form, the Peoples Republic of China Embassies and Consulates”.

 

The YSFRI Evaluation Committee will evaluate the applicant’s research ability and academic level, and notify the applicant of the decision. Upon receipt of notification of admission, the applicant needs to register on-line at the National Post-doctoral Management Information System. YSFRI Post-doctoral Station will review your registered documents on-line and report to the Office of Post-doctoral Management of Human Resources Department of Shandong Province for approval. Then applicants can be formally enrolled in YSFRI to carry out post-doctoral research work.

 

Post-doctoral Research Funding, Wages and Benefits

1. Post-doctoral researchers will be provided with a ￥50,000 start-up fund, under Basic Scientific Research Funds” project management.

2. In addition to the Wages and the Innovative Staff Allowance, post-doctoral researchers also have the same benefits as YSFRI employees.

3. YSFRI will be responsible for arranging accommodation during the post-doctorate at the station.

4. Spouse’s job and children schooling of post-doctoral shall be resolved in accordance with relevant regulations.
